Deaf Ministry

Our main goal is to provide a safe environment where Deaf people can develop a life-long, mature relationship with Jesus Christ. We also strive for strong friendships between the Deaf and Hearing. At this time, we have the following opportunities to be "connected":

 

 

1)   Sundays 9:45 -10:45am  -  Deaf Bible Class - Connecting with God

 

2)   Sunday 11 am service - interpreted for the Deaf

 

3)   Some Wednesday night classes interpreted for the Deaf

 

4)   Once-a-month Sunday afternoon Deaf/ Hearing potluck/fellowship

 

5)   American Sign Language classes on Wednesday nights  (Varying levels)

 

6)   Periodically we schedule a party or an outing 

 

7)   There are also some "outside" activities in which our ministry members are involved:

 

a)  The "Silent Celebration" Deaf picnic each year on the second weekend in June

 

b)  Rivertown Mall in Grandville -(Year round)  The Deaf / Hearing gather there from 6:30 - 9 pm each Tuesday
