Missions
The great commission has not changed, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19). There are some very evident ways of knowing the heartbeat of a church. Giving to missions - both at home and around the world - is one of those ways.
We are a missions minded church. We currently support 100 missionaries and ministries both at home and around the world on a monthly basis. In 2008 we transitioned from having one Mission Celebration Week per year to having two – one in the spring and one in the fall. Our next Mission Celebration Week will be in September.
Our most recent trip was to Bridge Ministries in Comayagua, Honduras. March 6 through 13, 2010. We sent a team of 21 doctors, nurses and construction people.
